CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA August 31, 2004 -– DXG USA, an emerging U.S. brand for digital cameras and one of the world’s largest digital camera designers and manufacturers, today announced it continues to grow above first year projections in units shipped as the company’s digital camera product line grows in popularity among retailers and consumers. The latest additions to the DXG product suite include the palm-sized DXG-301V video camera and the DXG-328 ultra slim camera. With a company focus on the sub $300 market category, DXG now has one of the largest lines in entry-level digital cameras with eight product choices below a street price of $200.One of DXG’s newest additions is the compact DXG-301V.

The video camera rivals cameras selling for hundreds of dollars more making it extremely attractive for the casual or amateur videographer and snap-shot taker. It’s the first camera on the market for under $500 featuring 3.2 megapixels using CCD-based and MPEG-4 video compression technologies. The camera is capable of shooting video image resolutions up to 640 x 480 and still images up to 2048 x 1536. It features a 1.8-inch TFT display, AVI, TV-Out, USB and SD/MMC expansion. Weighing a mere 7 ounces without batteries, the DXG-301V has one of the smallest full-featured camera footprints of 4.75” (L) x 2.75” (H) x 1.7” (W). The expected street price for the camera will be around $199.

The other new addition to the DXG product line is the streamlined DXG-328 ultra slim camera. Only one-inch in depth (3.5” (L) x 2.2” (L) x 1” (W)), the camera easily fits into a shirt or trouser pocket for active lifestyles and on the go activities. The compact design leaves nothing out for an entry-level digital camera. Offering 3 megapixels and image resolutions up to 2976 x 2232, the DXG-328 comes standard with 16 MB built-in memory, SD and MMC card expansion capabilities, AVI motion video, PC Cam capabilities, USB transfer connection and TV-Out port. The DXG-328 is expected to have a street price of $129.

The DXG Product Line
DXG has eight cameras in its current and growing product line. The line is categorized by camera style. In the video camera category, DXG offers the DXG-202V and the new DXG-301V. In the Ultra Compact category, the company offers the DXG-301, DXG-308 and DXG-321 models. In the fashionable Ultra Slim category, the DXG-228 and the new DXG-328 are available. And in the underwater / waterproof category, DXG offers the DXG-308U. As a value-add to each camera in its product line, DXG throws in Alkaline batteries, USB and TV output cables, camera pouch, a suite of photo editing software and a free membership to the Photosite online photo sharing service at no additional cost. All DXG products are priced for the broadening first time digital camera buyer with street prices less than $200.
